Founded 2006
Five years ago, a group of young activists in Daytona Beach sought to legitimize the role of youth in our community and tackle the issue of all ages spaces. In January 2006, we developed our mission and incorporated with the state. Turning Point Youth Collective, Inc. is continuously active in placing youth in roles of leadership. Each year we reach approximately 300 or more new and returning youth. Currently, 16-25 year olds represent the majority of youth being served. As of 2010, we have formed strong community partnerships and continue to move forward. Reaching out to the community and promoting the role of youth culture as a rich source of youth-empowerment and civic engagement is integral to the success of our organization.
